Hello, just to say, as a follow-up….a friend of a friend called by….and showed an interest in my A70. We worked on it together..checking and re-checking points gap, plug gaps etc (ie. all the usuals). The plug leads were already marked 1,2,3,4 from the front (not the firing order..just to which plug the lead goes). By time we were finished, the leads, from the front were 4,3,2,1,,,,,no, I don’t understand either as to what I did/why the order had changed….enough to say, the A70 now starts well/runs well…happy days…next shows: Ladybank (Fife) and Scone (Perthshire). Now just need to sort the vapour lock….any thoughts anyone? jb
