    Mike, I sure agree with you that the deep groove ball bearings are not suitable for front wheels.  The original angular contact ball bearings in my A40 are not tapered; just the outside race is tapered.  I can’t find those angular contact ball bearings used as original equipment.  Where did you find the replacement bearings?

    I have pictures of the original bearings with the numbers on them.

    PS.  I didn’t post the picture of the other bracket.  Both have the same bends.

    Thank you for the reply, Bruce.  I’ll take off the bolted part from each chassis rail and “heat & beat” them back to straight.  I can also correct the welded parts by the same method.

    I was unsure if these brackets were supposed to be straight or set to a specific curve.
