i use waymaster 500/525×16 tyres on my Devon i find them very good they drive good
are quiet and look right I used taxi tyres on my previous car a 1954 somerset they
were ok but the steering was heavy at low speed and wheel changing not so easy due
to them being wider i think the waymaster are better but of cause they are more expensive!! you pays yer money and makes yer choice

I noticed the rocker pedestals are different i have a spare head and they
both look the same externally but i think i might have one of each
hence the question Will 1A.2118 inlet valves fit Devon and Somerset heads?

thanks for replying to my post re Devon oil filter, I have fitted a club oil filter adaptor using an L shaped bracket and drilling and tapping the adaptor and bolting the adaptor to the L bracket, then bolt L bracket to original bracket holes on the block. the finished result looks much like the old filter as most of new bracket is under the dynamo i even used the original copper pipes.
