    I hope this link works to a photo of my Devon Steering Control Mechanism. When disassembled there was a felt like gasket that fell apart. Is it necessary and if so where? Was it between the steering column (B) and the first brass ring (C) or between the first brass ring (C) and the horn brass ring (has the hole Labeled E) or between the Horn brass ring and the body of the control (F).
