Austin 16 BS1 front grille removal.

Hello all,

I was wondering if any member had removed the front grilles from a 16. or an 8 or similar style.

Before I start, i was hoping to get a few tips. On my car, it looks as if they should slide upwards and out, but of course they don’t.

Ken,

My recollection was that I had to remove the entire front cowl, and first of all remove the radiator. The grilles could then be removed backwards from the cowl. A straightforward enough job, but time consuming…
