The Austin A40 provided an excellent basis for a number of light commercials – vans and pick-ups being most numerous amongst them.

All were based upon the Devon body style, with early models featuring the separate metal grille of the Devon saloon, whilst later ones had a metal slotted grille, integral with the front bodywork. The later vehicles also used some A40 Somerset components as the later Somerset replaced the earlier Devon.
